About Us
Soulstice A Cappella is Virginia Tech's premier all-women acapella group founded in 1998. The group consists of 18 members, ranging from freshman to senior year. While music is what brought us all together, the girls in Soulstice come from many different backgrounds—creating a diverse group of women who sing with soul and pursue a wide range of academic endeavors.
Our sound reflects many different genres. We sing everything from pop, country, and alternative; to R&B, and singer/songwriter (to name a few!) We love to incorporate different decades into our setlist, featuring songs from the 80s and 90s. We are proud to say that we create arrangements for many of our songs.
As a student-led organization, Soulstice strives to create a community of women who feel supported, empowered, and valued. We uphold Virginia Tech’s model of Ut Prosim “That I May Serve” by being active members of the community, and always looking out for our fellow “soul sisters.”
Soulstice is not only a singing group, but a big family. We love and care for each other like no other. We have formed lifelong friendships and made memories that will last a lifetime. Soulstice will forever be embedded in who we are even after we graduate.
